The Windy City gets what it has been longing for the past couple of seasons; a Week 1 win. The Chicago Bears hosted an aggressive San Francisco 49ers squad on Sunday. The weather definitely did not permit, with many areas of Soldier Field being flooded by ongoing downpours. With the majority of the field being puddled, the Bears seemed to have had the advantage the entire outing.
Justin Fields and the rest of this newly-formed offense had a rough first half. The team seemed to have little-to-no wiggle room during the first two quarters of the matchup with the 49ers' menacing defense keeping them in their grasp. The entire narrative changed after halftime, though. The Bears' offense came out on a tear putting up 19 unanswered points to cap off an impressive, energetic comeback win.
Bear down.
